Little Clay Explorers:
Hand Building

Ages 6-12

Designed for young artists, this engaging hand-building class introduces children to the fundamentals of working with clay in a fun, hands-on environment. Through guided instruction and creative exploration, kids will learn how to shape, sculpt, and decorate their own pottery pieces.

Techniques: Introduction to pinch and coil methods, allowing children to form their own unique creations.

Decoration: Hands-on instruction in applying decorative glazes to personalize and finish their pieces.
By the end of this class series, children will have created and decorated their own pottery, developing both their creativity and fine motor skills while gaining confidence in working with clay.

Clay Explorer: Teen Wheel Throwing
Ready to get your hands muddy? This class is all about learning the potter’s wheel in a fun, relaxed setting made just for teens.
What you’ll learn:

Fundamentals: Practice centering, opening, and pulling clay to form simple shapes.

Trimming & Glazing: Refine your pieces and explore glazing techniques for colorful, finished work.
Over six weeks, you’ll create your own set of functional pottery while picking up new skills and plenty of confidence on the wheel. Come hang out, get creative, and see what you can make!
